"Working with Amanda at Freckles has been a gift that has unquestionably added value to my life overall. I have not worked with anyone who is nearly as effective, contentious, and positive as Amanda. I initially came to Freckles for a different type of workout before my wedding, and I’ve been coming back consistently for over three years – I am addicted! Amanda’s one of a kind approach combines Franklin Method Pilates with visualization techniques that program the most supportive functional movement into my nervous system in a way that IMMEDIATELY gives me more ease and comfort that spills into the rest of my life. When I go to Freckles, I know I will get a super challenging but supportive strength workout plus relaxation all in one!  
Since I started working with Amanda, running has become easier, my posture and balance have improved, and I have learned so much about listening to and honoring my body which is the most valuable of all. This year I suffered a stroke, and I am confident that the last three years of work with her is the reason my motor skills, balance, and coordination came back so quickly.
I am so grateful for Amanda because in my recovery it is critical to listen to my body, and I am so much better at that now because of my sessions with her.  Sessions with Amanda are the exact opposite of the ‘no pain, no gain’ philosophy. Perhaps the most astounding difference between my Freckles sessions and other workouts is that I consistently leave Freckles with much MORE energy compared to when I walked in, and I cannot say that about any other workout I’ve done. When I walk into Freckles for a session with Amanda, it’s like my entire body automatically exhales because it expects to feel more open and happy in no time. I always leave feeling physically and mentally grounded, supported, strong, calm, and focused but don’t be fooled…she can easily make the beefiest, muscle-laden, athletic  man sweat! If you are looking to increase your strength, flexibility, balance, confidence in your bikini, or just want more ease and comfort in your life, I would HIGHLY recommend investing in yourself by working with Amanda!"

"I must say at first, I was a little unsure about Pilates as it wasn’t a guy thing to do in my mind but after researching this area I felt it was something that could truly help me. 

I’ve been a very active male in my early 50’s and incurred a back injury 1.5 years ago – Annular Tear L4, and Bulged Disc L5 that brought me to bed rest for over 2 days and lots of pain. I went through physical therapy at a local hospital that provided some benefit but not to the level I felt I could return comfortably to cycling (road and mountain).


The combination of the Pilates exercises along with correct breathing and meditation has provided me with improved flexibility, increased strength in muscular areas I have never worked before while developing a stronger core, improved coordination and balance. Over the last several months I have also noticed the slight definition of six pack abs starting to develop, an added bonus - not planned!  


With respect to the Meditation component in seeing Amanda, I have slowly appreciated her efforts and teachings on the importance of taking this time daily as it promotes overall relaxation as well as making me a more peaceful person. I needed something in my life to slow down the pace and a means to better cope with and reduce stress.  

Amanda told me up front that she does not know how long the process will take to recover as it varies with each individual body. However, I have improved greatly in this short period of time with the daily exercises she has structured for me which has me on the right path to better physical and mental health. I look forward to what the future holds as I continue in this program.

Lastly, the freedom in seeing the pavement move under my wheels while smelling our great country side in Wisconsin has been a great blessing since going to Freckles!"

"I’ve known Amanda since we were in high school. I remember we were out one night and the bartender had overserved me, making me quite chatty of course. I began to talk to Amanda about Pilates and I thought, 'what the heck, I’ll give it a whirl.' The next morning I had remembered I agreed to go to a session with Amanda and she ended up texting me the next day to set up an appointment. My first reaction was how did I get into this? What is Pilates? Well fellow readers, I can tell you that my life has changed since that first class! I was out of shape, had asthma, was not flexible and really living an unhealthy lifestyle. Within a few short months, the inhaler that I depended on daily was now an afterthought. I could flex and move in ways I never thought of. I had more energy and just a better mood. All in part to Amanda’s work at Freckles. 

I then had a mid-life crisis of sorts you could call it, I sold my home that I had lived in for several years and decided to quit my job and move to the Twin Cities of Minnesota. After not having Pilates in my life for several months I reconnected with Amanda at a Bucks game in December and we talked about doing a session via Facetime. Again, I was hesitant but I really wanted to continue and do the work Amanda and I had started. So we scheduled a session and figured out how to make the most out of this session. Although, it is not the same as actual studio work, I get the same euphoric feelings after a session, as I would when I was in Green Bay.  So I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone! Even if you don’t know what Pilates is, give it a chance. I am very glad that I did and I look forward to doing more online sessions and one on one sessions when I do visit the Green Bay area from time to time."
